Residents in the East Moriches Union Free School District approved the district’s 2026-2027 school budget Tuesday, along with all three propositions presented to voters.
Proposition No. 1, the district’s proposed budget, passed with 230 yes votes and 62 no votes. Proposition No. 2 was approved by a vote of 262-27, while Proposition No. 3 passed 246-45.
In the Board of Education election, Samantha Scaturro was elected to a three-year term on the board.
District officials thank the East Moriches community for participating in the annual vote and for continuing to support the district’s students, staff and educational programs.
